    Entrance Exams for CEPT Admissions

Bachelor's in Design (B.Des): Admission is based on a valid UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) score and academic performance. CEPT usually does not conduct a separate entrance exam for B.Des.

Bachelor's in Architecture (B.Arch): Admission is based on a valid score in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and academic performance in the qualifying exam (10+2).

Bachelor's in Urban Design (BUD): Admission generally requires a valid NATA score and candidates must apply directly to CEPT University.

CEPT University conducts its own entrance test, the CEPT PG Test, for many of its master's programs. The test structure and required sections (e.g., Analytical Reasoning, Verbal English, Mathematical Ability, or design/subject-specific tests) vary depending on the Faculty and specific program (e.g., Architecture, Planning, Technology, Design, Management). CEPT accepts the CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) score for admission to PG programs. Admission is based on a comprehensive evaluation process that includes the entrance exam score along with other criteria:

    • Portfolio Submission: Mandatory for many design and architecture-related programs (e.g., M.Arch, M.Des, M.U.D.).
    • Online Personal Interview (PI): A mandatory part of the selection process for almost all PG programs.
    • Academic Performance: Marks/CGPA in the Bachelor's degree and earlier education.
    • Work Experience: Relevant professional experience is considered, and sometimes preferred or mandatory for certain courses.
    • Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation.
