About CEED Exam
The purpose of the CEED entrance exam is to evaluate candidates’ design aptitude, which includes visual perception, drawing skills, spatial awareness, lateral thinking aptitude, logical reasoning, creativity, and communication abilities.
Admission into any of the aforementioned programs is not guaranteed by solely qualifying in the CEED entrance exam. CEED score is mandatory to apply to CEED participating colleges, each institute conducts separate admission tests or interviews for final selection/admission.
The institutes will verify eligibility, category certificates, and other documents in addition to the CEED Entrance exam score.

CEED Exam Pattern & Criteria
There will be two sections to the CEED exam. Candidates must attempt questions from both sections.
Part A includes three types of objective questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), and Multiple Select Question (MSQ). Candidates must provide answers to Part-A using a computer. The questions will assess candidates’ visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language skills, observation, and design sensitivity.
Part B contains five questions designed to assess skills in design, drawing, and writing. Part-B questions will appear on the computer screen, and answers should be written in the invigilator-provided answer book.
CEED Eligibility
- Applicants need to possess a minimum 3-year degree/diploma/postgraduate degree in any field.
- Final year students are eligible to apply too.
- Should have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level).
There are no restrictions on age for appearing in CEED, and candidates can make multiple attempts.
