Admission Process

Application to NIFT Kannur is through the extremely competitive NIFT entrance examination, conducted in February every year across 80 cities in India. s. The selection process is based on :

Creative Ability Test (CAT): It is a test of the candidate's creativity, design ability, and problem-solving capability.

General Ability Test (GAT): This is a test of quantitative ability, communication, analytical reasoning, and general awareness.

Situation Test & Personal Interview (PI): The last stage is a situation test for practical intent for B.Des aspirants, whereas MFM aspirants have to undertake personal interviews to gauge leadership and communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Des: The aspirants must have passed 10+2 from any reputed board.

For B.F.Tech: The aspirants must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

For MFM: The applicants must have a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university.

Fee Structure

B.Des & B.F.Tech: The total tution fee for a four-year undergraduate program is between ₹12-15 lakhs.

MFM: A two-year postgraduate course costs around ₹7-8 lakhs.

Apart from tuition fees, the students have to pay for study tours, project work, and materials. Hostel fees is about Rs.90,000/- per annum.
