The National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT, has 19 centers spread across India with 5330 total seats in all programs.

How to check NIFT 2025 Results

Did you appear for the NIFT 2025 exam? The process to find the NIFT results is:

• Visit the official website of NIFT, navigate to the Admissions section, and check for news on the NIFT admit card.
  
  
• The following link will redirect you to the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) NIFT portal.
  
  
• Here, you can log into your account by entering your application number and date of birth or password in the appropriate fields.
  
  
• Logging into the portal will redirect you to a screen that displays your scores and rank.
  
  
• You can download this scorecard and print it out for future reference.

After NIFT Result

Clearing the NIFT written section is a significant achievement, but the mission of securing admission at NIFT is only halfway through. The next step in this journey involves assessing your practical skills, creativity, and ability to articulate your ideas effectively.

It is time to focus on the situation test, group discussion, and personal interview sections. These vary for the differing programs:

NIFT Bachelor of Design: All the B.Des candidates who have cleared the NIFT will have to clear the situation test. The situation test for the B.Des program carries 20% weightage of the overall exam. After the situation test, in about 2 weeks, the final rank list will be published on the NIFT website. Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the counseling session to choose your preferred program and campus.

NIFT Master of Design: For the candidates who have cleared the M.Des written test, the next step in their admission assessment involves group discussion and personal interview. Both the group discussion and personal interview together carry a weightage of 30% of the total exam marks. Once the final rank list is published, applicants are required to attend counseling sessions to choose campus based on seat availability.

NIFT Bachelor of Fashion Technology: B.FTech candidates who have completed their NIFT written test can move on to counseling to choose the NIFT campus. This is because their selection is solely based on their GAT (General Ability Test) score.

NIFT Master of Fashion Technology: Candidates who have qualified for the first round of M.FTech at NIFT will have to undergo group discussion and personal interview. These components altogether carry 30% of the overall exam score.

NIFT Master of Fashion Management: Candidates who have been selected after the first assessment for M.F.M. at NIFT are required to appear for the 2nd assessment - group discussion and personal interview. Those who are shortlisted are required to attend the counseling sessions.

NIFT Situation Test

The 2nd assessment for NIFT - situation test involves creating a 3D model within the given limited time of 2 hours. With this model, you also have to give a write-up about the process you employed in creating the 3D model. At the studio, the invigilators will provide you with different materials with the instructions on what to make with them. The subject of the 3D model can vary from person to person. Within the 2 hours, you will have to create the model and also finish the required write-up. The following criteria will be used to evaluate you in the situation test:

NIFT Personal Interview

Candidates who have been selected for the written test round for M.Des, M.FTech, and M.F.M. courses will have to undergo personal interviews.

Personal Interview: The NIFT personal interview is the final step to the admission process. The selection depends on your overall attitude, aptitude, personality, and career focus. The invigilation method may vary, as occasionally you may have to face a panel of interviewers, while other times there may only be one interviewer. NIFT Counseling 

After the candidates qualify in the second round of the NIFT entrance exam 2025, the final rank list is published. Applicants will be eligible to attend counseling sessions. The registrations for NIFT counseling will be based on the AIR obtained and are required to book their slots.
